Terry was trying out a brand new site, a dating site known by everyone who used it at the time as blind date, when the phone rang. It was his friend Bill on the other side, and he really wanted to play a quick game of tennis, if Terry didn't mind. Terry gave in to his old friend and went off to play tennis for a couple of hours before returning once again to his computer. Dating women of my generation find it harder to get back on track after you have been out of the cycle for a while. My husband died about two years ago and it seems as if I have not been able to put myself back out there. He was a handsome man and I still have his picture on my night-stand in the bedroom. I go to sleep at night lying my face on the pillow that was once his, remembering how soft his skin against mine felt. Wishing that it was again but knowing that it will never happen. Dating women today seem to be of a much younger age. I believe that I am afraid that if I do put myself out there that I will feel disappointed or embarrassed by my competition.
