Tessa decided to try online dating. She was bored in the summer holidays before she started uni, and she thought she might as well try to get a boyfriend. There were so many online dating sites that she had no idea which one to choose. One day, she was reading an interview with her music idol Mattie Night in a magazine. On the opposite page was an advert for a dating site. She typed the URL into her laptop, and fell in love with the site straight away. After spending nearly 8 hours on it just making up her profile, her best friend Cassie rang. Tessa told her all about the site, and told Cassie to try it too. Cassie rang back 10 minutes later saying that on her magazine the advert next to the Mattie interview was for a ring tone site. 'That's strange' thought Tessa "I didn't know they put different adverts in each magazine". She invited Cassie over the next day to come and see, and on her way to Tessa's house, Cassie stopped at the local newsagents. She flicked through every single copy of the magazine she could find, and every one had her ring tone advert on it. It seemed that only Tessa's copy of the magazine had the dating website advert on. Confused, Cassie went to the next shop that sold the magazine and checked those magazines as well. They all had the ring tone advert! The shop owner asked her what she was looking for, and she told him about the advert mystery. The owner frowned. "That's very strange" he said "That magazine isn't allowed to advertiseonline datingwebsites, because it is also read by under-18's. It's actually illegal for them to print it, so they wouldn't risk the law just for one magazine." Cassie thanked him and continued to Tessa's house.She was quite late by now, and Tessa's Mother was surprised to see her.
