Today a group of girlfriends and I decided that we were going to try out a few different kinds of dating services. We were all single and hadn't found a way to hold onto the guys we were dating. When deciding what service to try my friend Ciara suggested eHarmony. We had all seen those cheesy commercials on tv before with all the gorgeous guys holding their girls in an embrace. We had seen the happiness in their eyes and warmth in their smiles and decided we all wanted to be the people in those cheesy commercials. We wanted to be the gorgeous girl with her gorgeous guy who just somehow managed to hold your eyes to his face. So we signed up. We all kept joking about how we were worried about what the men who read our profiles would think. We kept on debating whether or not a small lie here and there would improve our profiles. So Ciara decided that since this was her idea she was going to have insist on us doing this her way. Her way, was telling the absolute truth. No matter how damaging it may have been to our profiles. She checked all of our answers before we sent them in. When it was time to click complete she told us to hold onto our seats and we all pushed enter.

After a few days, we all gathered at Ciaras house for the latest episode of American Idol and during on of the commercials we saw... it. The commercial with the couple in embrace for eHarmony. We had all completely forgotten about our profiles and decided that after the show we would all check our accounts. After the show was over we all ran to the computer in Ciaras in-home office. We fought over who checked first and decided since it was Ciaras idea she can look first. Ciara had gotten a response from someone named Ryan. He was cute and based on his profile we had all convinced ourselves that Ciara had gotten the prize pup of the litter. He was a St Bernard! After her great news we all checked and had discovered we all got responses. We were thrilled and all made plans to meet in a group with our chosen others. I am happy to say we are all off the market and have a special other we would embrace with.
